How it all began
Anais developed a scientific interest from a young age. Her fascination for how science and the body intertwine initially led her to explore the medical and dental field. Anais completed work experience at a nearby Dental practice, which further encouraged her to focus on dentistry.
Anais enjoyed both the scientific and practical elements that come with dentistry. Her passion has always been preventative care; there is so much that can be done to help improve your overall health with just a little prevention and the right advice.
Anais graduated from Leeds University in 1996. She began working in a general dental practice soon after graduating, gaining valuable experience in general dentistry. While working in the practice, her attention was drawn to preventative care and the lifestyle factors that can affect your overall health.
She decided to pursue this further, and enrolled at Guy's Dental school (now known as Kings) in 1999 to study for a Masters degree in Periodontology. She still enjoyed the general elements of dentistry and continued to work in the practice while studying. In 2002, A year or so after gaining her Masters, Anais began working at Langley’s Dental Centre.
Though Anais enjoys all aspects of dentistry, her speciality is Periodontology. Periodontology and preventative care go hand in hand; gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss and good dental hygiene can be the difference between tooth loss and a beautiful smile.
Anais has a holistic approach to life, which is evident in her recreational activities. She runs regularly, attends yoga classes, is an avid gardener and a keen cook. Alongside a passion for fitness and wellbeing in general, Anais likes to explore what makes us all tick. She has a talent for motivational coaching and regularly runs workshops in her area, focusing on how to break old habits and helping attendees understand how their minds work. She is very community driven and loves to bring people together.
